It was a blessing and a joy to visit our good friends, Sam and Becca Gunti in India. God is at work. There is an impressive team working in India. The majority of their team are first generation Christians, people with little training but love Jesus and love to serve others. An important part of their ministry is the Good Life Schools. There are three schools that have been established in areas of abject poverty, unlike any living conditions I have personally witnessed. The schools have been given different labels, The Sand Pit School, The Quarry School, and The Slum School.  These are the poorest of poor without any nearby schools, much less any Christian influence.  Good Life Ministries supplies a simple shelter, books, slate, and teachers, usually a native Christian, married couple. The children are given a good lunch of rice and curry every day.

If you would like to help financially support these schools, or any other part of Good Life Ministries, leave me a comment and I will help you. Frankly, though I am no missions expert, I can think of no better impact-per-dollar missions.  Of course your prayer support is always most jealously coveted.

Hans suggested resizing all pictures with a width of 450 px or so, making the vertical pictures larger than horizontal ones. What do you think?

Hey guys,
Hmm...the problem with waiting so long to post is that one doesn't know where to start...Well, here goes.
We went to Tennesse last Thurs. for my cousin's funeral. He was downs syndrome and his parents were Paul and Darlene Overholt (dad's sister). Dispite the somewhat somber atmosphere we had good portion of fun mixed in. We arrived at Paul's around eight pm after driving all day. I played some ping-pong that evening but soon it was time to go grandpa's for the night. The next day consisted of two viewings and whatever games we could squeeze in between, mostly rook and a game of Aquire (a cool board game). The next day was the day of the funeral. I was well done and meaningful. After the serivce, burial, and the meal five of us, Hans, Derek(my cousin), Jamison (Derek's Overholt cuz), Joseph (Derek's other Overholt cuz), and I drove back to Pauls and played ping-pong until is was time for dinner at the church again. After dinner we played mafia, killerwink, and Aquire. Then we left sunday immediately after church and drove the whole way back and arrived home at 2 am.
Tonight we had a great senor social at James Schrock's place. We watched two movies, one was Princess Bride the other was the Scarlet Pimpernel. They were both good especially Princess Bride. It had a whole bunch of good one liners. It was a classic fariy tale of a beautiful damsel with long flowing blonde hair and blue eye  who falls in love with a blue-eyed blonde hero but the evil villan wants to marry her and tries to kill the "knight in shining armor"  but of course doesn't succeed and the guy and the girl ride off on white horses into the sunset and get married. That sounds boring but their were a bunch of good one-liners.
Tomorrow we are leaving for Ohio for a wedding and a week or two after we get back we leave again for Tennesse for a wedding.

Well well, I guess its time for my weekly post.
Last night was the youth Christmas banquet. Awesome stuff. Had a really good time, the food and drinks were good, esp. egg nog, lattes, and the desserts. After we ate Merv passed around some sheets of paper and when he started the timer everybody turned their papers over and started following the instructions on it. Well almost everybody. The first thing on the list of the things to do was read the whole paper carefully before starting. The very last thing to do said basically you didn't have to do any of the above. It was kinda funny because some people read the whole thing and caught on right away but some finnished the whole thing. Christi Huttenhof was especaially funny because everybody else in the room was either done or had caught on so everybody was watching her as she duitifully finnished the whole thing. When she got to the part where she found out she didn't have to do any of that stuff she banged her fist on the table and the room erupted with laughter. Then we watched some skits Hans put together. A really funny skits they were. If you like puns a good site is badpuns.com. After the skits some of the women did some singing. Then we cleaned up and went home. After that Ted came over and we played ping pong till about 1am or so, fun fun. Anyway thats all I can think of to right about write now sew I will bee seaing ewe guise l8or.

Hi guys,
Whats up everybody. Monday I went and played basketball at Dayspring like I do every week. Wednesday we had youth Bible study at our house, that was fun. Friday evening Ted came over and we played ping-pong and worms. That was alot of fun because Hans, Ted and I are really evenly matched at ping pong and so we have very competitive games every time, except I'm a leetlle beet better, but don't tell Ted. Today I got up waaay to early, 8:30, to go to a youth breakfast over at Freda's. Then Tony, Deitrich, and I went to the DMV and Wal-Mart. Then Tony and I washed the trucks for Talior Made Landscapes. Then I came home and made some, if I do say so myself, awesome soft pretzles. I guess I can make em' but I sure can't spell em'. And that brings us to the present so now I'll stop.
